Working Together as a MultiDisciplinary Team
Abstract:
It is well known and widely supported that best practice is to conduct child abuse investigations within a multidisciplinary team. However, the differences in perspectives, needs, and goals that make the MDT process so valuable can also result in challenges and conflict, even within teams that respect and value each other. Along with reviewing information regarding the benefits of an MDT approach and some of the challenges that may arise, this presentation will identify strategies that can improve functioning of the MDT.
